Basic Obedience

 "Building Communication"

The six week basic obedience course is designed to teach you, your family, and your pet how to interact in the family group. Our intention is to teach the human members of the dog's family. You will learn:

1. Why the dog reacts and behaves the way he does.
2. How to teach and encourage your dog to behave the way you want.
3. How to eliminate unwanted behavior.
4. To provide your family with a method of communicating with your dog.
5. To provide "voice control" over your pet.

At the end of six weeks, your dog will be able to sit, down, stay, sit for an examination by a groomer/veterinarian, and walk quietly by your side. You will be surprised how many other behaviors we will be able to solve simply by giving you these basic tools.

We emphasize voice control and positive reinforcement in these classes, motivating the dogs with rewards and toys.
